The moment
Your video has the walk up and the golden ball
The Ballon d'Or moment is the one every footballer dreams of: your name is read out, you hug the person next to you in the crowd, walk up the steps onto the stage, are handed the golden ball and lift it as gold confetti falls. Sent to your parents, it looks like the ceremony they saw on the news.
Your Ballon d'Or AI video has all four shots — the crowd, the walk up, the hand-over and the trophy close-up — with your face in every one, in the tuxedo, gown or outfit you pick, so the prank lands.
- Your reaction in the ceremony crowd
- The walk up the steps onto the stage

Background
How the Ballon d'Or prank started
The Ballon d'Or prank started on TikTok on October 22, 2026, in the days before the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony: AI videos of ordinary people sitting in the ceremony crowd, walking up on stage and lifting the golden ball, captioned “Making my parents think I won the Ballon d'Or.” Within a week the biggest ones had more than a million views each.
The Ballon d'Or AI trend grew into a prank on parents, mums and friends: people sent the video home without a word and posted the reactions, in English, French, Spanish and more, and kept making their own after the ceremony.

Is there a Ballon d'Or filter?
+

Yes. Girls make Ballon d'Or AI videos too, like the women's Ballon d'Or: pick the evening gown or your own outfit, and you walk up on stage and lift the golden ball.

What resolution is the Ballon d'Or AI video, and how many credits does it cost?
+
For the Ballon d'Or AI video you pick the resolution before you generate: 20 credits at 720p or 30 at 1080p. Every resolution gives the same 10-second vertical 9:16 video; higher resolutions are sharper.
Only upload photos of yourself, of people who have agreed to be in your video or of characters. The video is a prank, not a real award. MakeMeme isn't affiliated with France Football, the Ballon d'Or or its organisers.
